The anime is really just a bunch of short episodes that don't relate to one another - they're pure crack and hilarity. The manga has a set, often serious, storyline, but the humor is still mostly in tact, along with romance. I would recommend the manga, but shoot for the anime if you're looking for laughs. Go watch, you know you want to.
